There is no doubt that since the industry took form maturely, it has kept most of its thousands of talented musicians who always put Ghana on the world music map. Some months ago, VIP, Reggie Rockstone, Buk Bak, Batman and Ofori Amponsah including others revived the industry with their lyrical flow and dynamism in their field of profession.
Presently amongst those sensational artistes, there is one who has taken up the mantle to show his head up high this year. It is no other than Ofori Amponsah, who came out last year with the hit album “Sardine” and other hitting albums in the years before. His new Album titled “Platinum” yet to come features artistes like Kofi Nti, Barosky and the likes and is meant to turn Ghana upside down as people would not be able to desist from listening repeatedly to it.
Come this year precisely within May to August, he will be launching out the ready-to-come hit album, which is finally under construction at Cre8tive Studios. The upcoming album is a blend of Ghanaian local highlife as well as the Nigerian “anago” highlife. It is a new style as well as a new flavour in the highlife music culture.
Ofori Amponsah is readily determined to take Ghanaian music to an extra mile and make it big in the international market. In an interview with Ghana Music.com, he said, “Well, I want to deliver the best since I have been seen by the civic as a true highlife comrade capable enough to set the world outside ablaze.”
“Furthermore, I will like to take this opportunity to thank my fans and management for pushing me forward with my previous album, and prays for such similar support in this upcoming one.” To end it is his thanks to the engineers namely Apietus and Budu Staiger for making this dream become a reality.
The pioneer who is primed to do everything to gain the title again this year in the local and international scene will arrest the local charts with his upcoming album.? The public should watch out because it is a thumb up with this album.

Last year saw Ofori Amponsah adding his name again to the ‘A’ list with the "Sardine" album. Let us see how he does it again this year.
