The contemporary highlife singer with the silky smooth voice, Ofori Amponsah, aka Mr All for Real, is generally regarded as a shy guy. But his recent decision to “abandon’” his wife for another woman cannot fit into his demure character.

With six hit albums to his credit, a BMW X-5 four-runner, BMW 5 Series, Rover Convertible and plenty of fans in Ghana and around the world, Ofori’s wife, Linda, always ensures that no woman comes “too close” to her man.

However, it appears a fair lady has broken Linda’s bars and even stolen her first kiss. In fact, she is now “riding on the back” of the fine singer.

In the video clip of Ofori’s latest album title song “Otoolege” (silly chap), his “new catch” and smashing beauty, Adama, is seen touching and kissing Ofori in a way that can make his wife’s blood boil.

The Mirror “caught” Ofori in the company of Adama at Osu and “put it to him” that he was cheating on his wife. He burst out laughing and managed to throw out an answer to this reporter’s charges. “Master, I beg-o-o, Adama is just a friend who is helping me to promote my new release, Otoolege. I have a wife, and please I have not abandoned her, ei, Charlie, I beg!” He pleaded.

Ofori Amponsah appeared on the contemporary highlife scene on the wings of Daddy Lumba with whom he produced the chartbuster, Wo ho kyire (your body shows) on the Auntie Attah album in 1999.

He followed up with “Asew” and is now out with “Otoolege” which is his fourth release. Other albums produced from Ofori’s music “factory” include “Me Pra Wo”, “Bo Ho Bio” and “Sardine”.

He has also collaborated with other musicians to produce chart-topping songs including “Rakia” which he sang with K. K. Fosu and Kofi Nti. “Rakia” is the Number One song on many music charts around the country including the popular megahits chart compiled and produced by Joy Fm and published in the Graphic Showbiz.

The current album “Otoolege” is set to hit the market this week. It features Baroski on the ragga beat, K. K. Fosu and Kofi Nti.

Though a relatively young musician himself, Ofori Amponsah has been instrumental in the launching of the music careers of Kofi B and Kofi Nti and is ready to serve as a launching pad for talented singers.

Meanwhile, Ofori has denied rumours that he had shot himself as reported in an Accra newspaper on Thursday.
