Oheneba Kissi Out With His Twelfth Album

Highlife sensation, Oheneba Kissi, a.k.a. Mr. Sweet Voice has come out with yet another beautiful album making it his twelfth successive album release.

It is refreshing to note that there is one musician who tracks soothe many troubled souls. Already tracks from his latest album ‘Abanaba’ are enjoying a lot of airplay: an indication that the songs are good enough to roll many more turn tables for a long time.

Though all the eight tracks are not so different from the usual contemporary highlife composition of his type of music, the general orchestration, instrumentation and lyrical delivery are quite interesting.

The album spews out a brilliant presentation with Oheneba exhibiting his unique lyrical prowess.

Side A of the album open with ‘Medo mum Kaakyire’, a love piece presented in a typical highlife flavour and spiced up with some smooth rap by Okyeame Kwame.

This is followed by the title track ‘Abanaba’ which tells an interesting story of two passionate lovers who are faced with jealousy, hatred and backbiting from close pals. Other pieces on the side include ‘Mensa Aka bi’ and ‘Odo Gyeme’.

The flipside of the album brings to the fore Kissi’s lyrical gifts, which is evident in all his previous albums. ‘Nyame Ama’ is another beautiful song. ‘Babia’ which portrays the hustle of bustle of life, and the seeking of greener pastures everywhere offers some useful pieces of advice to listeners.

The next track on the side ‘Medo Wo Nkoa’, is sweet and well centered with love-filled interesting to capture numerous hearts. He closes the album with ‘Nya Gyidi’.

The album which has already been launched and available on the music market was recorded and mixed at the famous West Wise and Rheinklang Studios in Germany, under the supervision of Owusu, Mack and Bodo and produced by Oheneba Investment for Slip Music Entertainment.
