For an artiste who has been in the music industry for the past eight years, not much has been heard or seen of hiplife artiste Ray Osei Asibey aka Osaray Gyaserama

His first album titled Fa Wonsuo Deede Bedwo Makoma, released in 1999 failed to make any impact and since then he seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. But Osaray says that all the time was spent working intensely on his second album Araba Yaa and not because he had given up.

According to Osaray, he is out to create waves with his album and to put him on the top as he deserves. As if to prove this Araba Yaa is making headway in Kumasi and has entered the charts on some of the radio stations.

The album has twelve tracks on CD and eight on cassette with video of Araba Yaa already receiving considerable airplay. The album features a number of known and new artistes. Almost every track features at least two of such artistes.

Araba Yaa opens the album and is in two versions, Twi and Ga. The Twi version features Agya Bomofuo while the Ga features Chancela and Agya Bomofuo.

With good sound arrangements, chorus and rap, Araba Yaa has tracks of hit making song.

Abanoma features TDB and Joney Osei and talks about the artiste?s interest in a lady who has a son who he would do anything to get closer to the mum, if only the boy will give him the chance. Osaray laments about the boy?s behaviour and says it is hindering his progress with the lady. With good chorus and funny lyrics, Abanoma is an impressive one by all standards.

Odo Wose Menko blends highlife with mainstream hiplife rhythms for a harmonious effect. It is about love turned sour and features Obuor who delivers a great rap and Opam Kokukro,

Other songs are Zinaabu, featuring TDB and Joney Osei, Atodwe featuring Don King Soso, San Beware Me featuring Chanela, Ogyaserama and Towoboase.

Osaray is grateful to his Executive Producer, Nana Sekyi who helped him out through tough times and everyone at Jackmor Promotion Syndicate & Maxitime Company Limited as well as all the artistes who featured on the album.
