Osibisa To Rock CitiFM's MOGO

After an enthralling performance at last year?s MOGO ,Music of Ghanaian Origin, Africa?s most critically acclaimed group, Osibisa , are back again upon special request.MOGO is organized by CITI FM, which comes off at the Accra International Conference Center on December, 1, 2006.

Apart from the evergreen Osibisa, other revered and renowned performers such as Agya Koo Nimo, Ben Brako, George Darko, Paapa Yankson, Thomas Frimpong, and Paulina Oduro are all poise to mount the stage.

Osisiba would have the full complement of its original members. Teddy Osei would be handling the flute, Mac Tontoh would blow the trumpets, Wendell Richardson who hails from the Caribbean Island of Antigua, would play the guitar, Sol Amarfio on drums and Bessa Simons on the keyboards. Other stalwart players to play for the legendary band include Colin Graham, Frank Tontoh, Robert Fordjour, Emmanuel Rentzos, Kwame Yeboah, Errol Reid and many more.

Osisiba got worldwide recognition with the release of their self-titled album in 1971. Other inspirational tunes followed such as? Welcome home?, ?woyaya?, ?Coffee? and many others.

?Playing in Ghana is always a special experience and we feel very proud to see our people enjoy our music. Everybody must come and have a good time,? said Teddy Osei, a founding member of the group.MOGO 2006 has been extended to other regional cities such as Kumasi with a cultural exposition at the Apatakese of the Kumasi Cultural Center.
