Scratch Studios, currently the most innovative entertainment outfit in Ghana, has signed on Mentor One star Paulette Broohm, upon recognizing her immense talent in the music field.

She is currently recording her maiden album at the company’s studios at East Legon, with instrumentation provided by an array of stars. Born in the 80’s, Paulette attended Saint Mary’s Secondary School and later did a short course in broadcasting at GIJ.

Though she had a wonderful childhood, growing up was tough because of the absence of a father, which left her mother to cater for her on her own. This fusion of love and loss has helped her build a strong character and the ability to surmount challenges, a theme reflected in her lyrics.

An attractive and intelligent young lady with a powerful and sensual voice, Paulette participated in TV3’s ‘Mentor One.’ She later represented Ghana in the second edition of Imagine Afrika, an HIV/AIDS reality show held in South Africa and Kenya, getting selected out of over 10,000 applicants and making Ghana proud by qualifying into the final 12 out of the 32 countries that participated. The programme was aired on GTV and DSTV.

Paulette, who recently featured on the Ben Brako/Scratch Studios World Bank sponsored project ‘Dream Child’, alongside international superstars including South Africa’s Hugh Masekela, is poised to make a gigantic leap in the world of showbiz; and with the highly competent Scratch team firmly behind her, success is assured.

Paulette is billed to feature live at the British Council Hall at the launching ceremony of the ‘Dream Child’ song on Thursday, July 22, 2010, and is expected to literally “blow the minds” of the audience. A phenomenal star is about to be unleashed on the world. Watch out for Paulette.
