Three popular composers in the Volta region have decided to form a trio to promote their music not only on the Ghanaian music scene but also on the international market to accord them better recognition.

They are Anthony Dagbey, popularly known as Tony ?D?, Frank Narro and Raps Ziggy, all musicians in the genres of highlife, raps, reggae, raga and local raps.

Tony ?D? Music Productions and Studio, owned by Anthony Dagbey is spearheading the production, marketing and sale of the yet to be release 10 track CD.

In a chat with ?Spectator Arts and Entertainment?, Tony ?D? hinted that the three individual stars of the Volta decided to join forces to make their music unique on the Ghanaian scene so as to propel them towards making an impact on the international scene.

He hinted that the trio had recorded a 10-track CD titled ?Mina Miawo Novi? (Let us become one) which is expected to be released on November 5, this year.

?We are also working to release a VCD on our productions as individuals and as a trio to relaunch our package for music lover and our fans?, he said, beaming with confidence.

Tony ?D? observed that the music industry in the region is collapsing and that after the launch we will tour all the 15 districts in the region to promote and revamp the industry with our brand of music.

Responding to a question, he said ?we must all appreciate that music is business and stakeholders in the industry must all join hand to protect it from collapsing since that is where we earn our living?.

Tony ?D? disclosed that plans are underway for Tony ?D? Music Productions to initiate a project to unearth the youth with talents in the industry and expose and promote them to create jobs and wealth thereby reducing the unemployment rate in the region.

Asked whether the trio will be sustained or separated after the launch, Raps Ziggy who was also present during the chat, declared ?there is no turning back for us after sober reflections and since it is our aim to hit the international scene, any split wit derail the process of becoming a force to reckon with?.

He said it was painstaking decision they had taken and whether the CD becoming a success or not, they would continue to join forces towards a successful career in music.

Raps Ziggy said he hopeful that with Frank Narro making up the trio, the 10-track CD would make them achieve the target set for themselves.
