Reggae Stars Thrill At Accra Concert

Bob MarleyInternational reggae stars yesterday thrilled lovers of Reggae music at the Accra International Trade Fair Centre.

The show organised by the Bob and Rita Marley Foundation in collaboration with JOY Fm, was heavily patronised.

International Reggae Super Stars from Jamaica and others from Ghana treated Reggae fans to non-stop music from their albums.

Lovers of Reggae started filling the pavilion at the Trade Fair Centre as early as 4pm. Expectations of the fans were really high before the show kicked off.

According to them, they have long awaited the opportunity to see the family of Reggae legend Bob Marley perform live in Ghana.

As the show got underway, the atmosphere at the Trade Fair was charged.

One after the other, the performers took their turn on the stage to do what they know best ? dishing out sizzling Reggae music back-to-back.

For a lot of fans this was one of the most fun filled shows and will remain on the minds reggae fans for a long time to come.

Meanwhile, a symposium will be held today to discuss the life and works of Bob Marley as part of the 61st birthday celebrations. Experts from Africa and the Diaspora will be part of the discussions.

The session will also provide some scholarships to interested in studying music.
