Reggie Zippy, a promising hip life artiste, is engrossed in a tussle with Option Music (an Accra based Record Label) for failing to comply with an agreement on his maiden album which is titled ?For Sale?.

He has therefore sent the matter to the Copyright Society Of Ghana (COSGA) to stop Option Music from harassing and threatening him.

According to Zippy who briefed the Graphic Showbiz on the issue, he initially entered into an agreement with Option Music to produce his album after recording him. After a long time they came back to him to renegotiate their part of the contract.

He said when they came the second time, they said they were only interested in managing and promoting the album and would not have a hand in the actual production of the album.

Zippy said this made him seek other assistance for the production of the album but while in the process of doing this he regularly heard his album being played on three Accra based FM stations.

This was how he got to know his master CD had been used. Later a DJ from Top Radio known as DJ Delay linked him to Frim Prince Music Production, where the success of the album began.

Frim Prince showed great interest in the album after which many copies were distributed on the local and international market.

Frim Prince decided to pay Option Music part of the money they claimed they used for promotion and studio expenses.

After half of the money was paid, Frim Prince decided to pay Reggie his share of the remaining half provided the Copy Right Society Of Ghana (COSGA) was contacted.

At the copyright office, the administrator of (COSGA) stated that Option Music should at least be given some compensation since they did part of the promotion and recorded the full album.

Reggie says that the money will be paid at the end of the month, when he has made some money.
