Rik Rok, Rayvon, Brian And Tony Gold Talk To Ghana Music.Com

Rik Rok with Shaggy's girlfriend Our initial report mentioning that Shaggy?s backing vocalist duo of Brian and Tony Gold (most often referred to as the Gold Brothers, not for any blood links but because they?ve been together since 1980), were not going to be part of Shaggy?s team to Ghana was proved wrong when Ghana Music.Com saw them live on the team?s arrival.

Earlier Lady Di, web Mistress of www.shaggysstudio.com sent us a mail to say that Shaggy it wasn?t possible for Shaggy to embark on a tour without Brian and Tony Gold. This was after she had read the story we posted some days ago.

Verus with Tony Gold ?How could he be set without us?, Tony enquired, ?We have done more songs on Shaggy?s albums than any artists?, Brian made his voice heard.

Rik Rok (who did ?It Wasn?t Me? with Shaggy) told Ghana Music.Com that his personal new single (featuring Shaggy) off his upcoming ?Proclamation? album was number one in Jamaica currently and that it was seriously catching up in New York and elsewhere. Rik Rok has been writing with Shaggy since 1987 but started recording with him only three years ago.

Verus with Rayvon Rayvon (who did ?Angel? with Shaggy), an artist who seems to love talking because ?he loves it?, says, ?Currently, I have two albums to my credit, the latest is called My Bad. I?m even working on the third?. Rayvon has been to African on 6 different occasions starting from South Africa in 1993, then to Kenya, three times in Uganda and once to Ethiopia. ?It?s always been my dream to come to Ghana. I have learned about your great hospitality and so far so great.? Rayvon comes from Barbados; he?s been with Shaggy for the past 12 years.
