Mon, 5 Feb 2007 Source: ghanamusic.com

Jay Q's influence spread far and wide during the late 90s, as witnessed by fans and even family members. Standing beside brilliant Jay Q is his own blood brother, Ro Q who watched him transform.

Upon his arrival, his junior brother has also been walking in his shadow. Ro Q says Jay Q inspired and coached him in his quest to be a sound engineer.

Asked how his beats could be differentiated from Jay Q's, he said "My beats are African beats, I have made my beats out of Jay Q's own beats with more percussion".

Even though he might continue his education, he sees himself as a sound engineer that will be in existence for a long time in the Ghanaian music industry.

"To be a good sound engineer, you first need to have the interest and believe in what you want to do, and with God everything is ok". This saying has sustained him

He's had a good experience with Jay Q but when it comes to work, there is no family affair. "I was surprised when my brother suspended me for a week for a misconduct and when I came back I was the smartest".

Born on 3rd June, 1982 as Robert Quaye, he said his inspiration for sound engineering has brought him to where he is now.

Ro Q has been under Jay Q's tutelage for four years now and wants to learn more from the pro.

The latest project coming from Ro Q assistant to Jay Q, is that he has recorded 2 songs for the new sensation, Lil Q (Edmund Atuquaye Clottey) of Alordia Music Production UK.

We at Ghana Music.com are keeping our fingers crossed for Lil Q's album titled "Back for the First" with songs like "It's over" and "Asem Bi" which has been talked about a lot.

Ro Q is yet to land any big deal with an artiste but has been scouted by several artistes such Ruth of Mentor I, Godfather, 3 dot and more to do their works.

It's Ro Q's dream for acts such as Obour, Nkasei, Praye, Taliban, Surely and Kaakyire Agyekum to call him for a project but for now his latest project is yet to come from the camp of Q Lex Entertainment.
