Ghanaian Afrobeats group, Ruff n Smooth, has been billed to headline the 2016 edition of AFROFEST music festival in Toronto, Canada.
The multiple hit making group which is made up of Ricky Nana Agyemang (Ruff/Bullet) and Clement Baah Foh (Smooth/Akhan) will perform for over 70,000 crowd at this year’s concert slated for July 9 and 10 at Woodbine Park, Toronto.
According to group member, Akhan, they will perform with a live band on stage for more than an hour.
“We are performing live with a band,” Akhan told Pulse.com.gh “We have performed live at some concerts in Ghana but this is going to be our major live performance,” he added.
Ruff n Smooth will be joined by Bamako Quintet from Mali, Black Parents from Haiti, Djouna Big One Mumbafu from Congo, Emmanuel Jal from Sudan and Toto Guillaume from Cameroon to rock the crowd at the 28th edition of AFROFEST. Host of “Voce Africa” on g98 FM, MC Bonde will host the concert.
AFROFEST is the biggest Afrobeat event in Canada. The annual festival brings together people of different races and culture to enjoy Africa music.
