It may be difficult to picture some of the biggest names in Ghanaian hiplife and highlife music doing gospel music although there have been evidence of such occurrences in Ghanaian music history with the likes of Daddy Lumba, Jewel Ackah and Pozo Hayes. Well, for a ‘one-album-only’, Kofi B, Samini, Ekow Shailo, Castro, Nana Quame, PV (Wutah), Kontihene, Lucky Mensah, Bright (Buk Bak) and others have teamed up to sing a medley of popular Ghanaian worship songs.

The album, ‘Nyankopong – All Star Gospel Medley ‘features bonus tracks from Cindy Thompson, OJ, Pack Williams and others but the centerpiece is the back to back all star. The medley starts with an introduction by Kontihene, followed by ‘Okronkron Nyame’ by Nana Quame, ‘Me Ma Mani So’ by Kofi Bee, ‘Mesi Den’ by Nana Quame, ‘Medofo Kese’ by Kontihene, ‘Aseda Nyinaa’ by Bright (Buk Bak), ‘Nkwa Wo Nimu’ by Samini, ‘Mase A Meti Yi’ by PV (Wutah), ‘Me Yi Waye’ by Lucky Mensah, ‘Nsenkuo’ by Nana Agyemang, ‘Onyi Wo Mma’ by Castro, ‘Naomi’ by KK Fosu, ‘Yen Nyame’ by Ekow Shailo, ‘hye den’ by Hrry Abban , and ‘Maye Kom’ by D’bio.

The album will be available in Ghana, US, Canada, and the UK soon. But until then, you can enjoy this selected picks from the medley!
