It was an evening of great performance, words of motivation and encouragement, jokes, winning and dinning at the Old Bobs Place at Osu when the King of reggae music Shasha Marley launched his new album "lost and found"
The short but impressive ceremony started with a prayer after which the master of ceremony invited the musician's union president Alhaji Sidku Buari who officially launched the album.
The president in declaring the album officially launched said he is really impressed by this second album of Shahsa Marley and he is convinced that this album will not only make in Ghana and Africa but it will also make it internationally.
The president added that "having listened to most of the tracks on this album I will like to encourage all artist of music to really work hard and come out with the best".
Shasha Marley who came on stage in a hood over a matching cassock and a sash put up a wonderful rendition of his songs with an incredible stage show. Ingenuity and sheer prowess characterize his performances.
The reggae musician who said he was inspired by great artists such as Bob Marley, Winston Rodney (Burning Spear), Steel Pulse, Jimmy Cliff, Nelson Mandela, also took the opportunity to elucidate to patrons the idea behind the song 'mataa' and 'bum bum waa waa'.
The first ten copies was bought by Messer Andrew Kronyana, of the Embassy of Liberia, who said he felt so much in love with the song 'bum bum waa waa' the first day he heard on air. Explaining the reason for purchasing the ten copies, Messer Andrew Kronyana said he will distribute it to all radio stations in Liberia.
The launch was emceed by Fritz Barfour and in attendance were some of radio's finest presenters including Skelly Dred, Black Santino, Ras Muburak, Black Rasta, Abieku Santana and Daddy Bosco.
