Emerging Ghanaian artiste Lokal Shock has teamed up with dancehall giant Shatta Wale on the remix of his single, 'Ebefa'.
The collaboration comes as a significant milestone in Lokal Shock’s career, marking what he describes as a moment of immense gratitude and inspiration.
In recounting how the collaboration came to be, Lokal Shock shared that he had the opportunity to visit Shatta Wale’s residence while accompanying fellow rapper Amerado for a studio session.
After the session, Lokal Shock seized the moment and asked Shatta Wale to listen to his new song. To his surprise, the dancehall star immediately agreed and took a liking to the track. Lokal Shock then made a bold request for a feature, which Shatta Wale graciously accepted.
“I asked him for a verse and he said he would do it. Lo and behold, by the time I got home, he had already sent me his verse,” Lokal Shock revealed.
He expressed deep appreciation for the swift collaboration, noting that it was an exceptional display of support from Shatta Wale.
“This verse means a lot to me. I’ve been in the game for years, but nobody has shown me such love as Shatta Wale has. I pray that this song helps me break through to the mainstream and climb the ladder of success.”
'Ebefa', which translates to "It will be well," carries a message of hope and resilience, fitting perfectly with Lokal Shock's aspiration to reach greater heights in the music industry. With the backing of Shatta Wale, one of Ghana’s most influential music icons, the single is poised to make waves across the country’s airwaves.
