Slim Launches Children?s Foundation

Not only does he thrill his numerous fans on stage, Slim Busterr has been branded by many as one of the finest musicians this country can boast of.

The ‘dancing’ Busterr is about to show another side of him that many may not know – his love for children.

After considering the many times that he’s had to take care of the daily bread of the many young people who approach him. Slim and a good friend of his did some thinking and came out with an idea.

Come Saturday, September 3 at the auditorium of the British Council, the Slim Busterr Global Foundation for Needy Children will be launched.

This Non-Governmental Organisation, Slim tells Showbiz, is to enable him get orphans and other street children off the streets into orphanages.

Slim said, considering the amount I give out on daily basis to take care of food, prescriptions etc of these children, my friend and I thought it wise to set up an NGO and raise funds for the upkeep of these children.

Once he is able to raise funds through his NGO, Slim intends to put these children into various homes and take responsibility of their upkeep.

A fund-raising will be part of the launch as a first step to enable Slim take care of the big task ahead.

Expected to entertain guests on Saturday are Okyeame Kwame and Alista G, an artiste from Togo. Of course Slim himself will not be left out of the fun and has promised patrons a special package.
