Stars of the Future auditions begin

Mon, 11 Oct 2010 Source: Daily Guide

Last year saw Bertha emerge victorious out of 16 equally talented competitors in the 4th season of ‘Stars of the Future.’

As competitive as it has always been, the prospective competitors come on board to exhibit all their talents in music; some with little or no knowledge at all.

Bertha mounted the stage with no idea of how she was going to sail through the intensive but interesting musical competition dubbed ‘Stars of the Future’.

When she emerged as winner for the 2009 edition, she was overwhelmed with unspeakable joy and surprise. Her new world of fame exposed her to many other challenging and interesting platforms.

The 2010 edition of ‘Stars of the Future’ has just begun and auditions were held last Saturday in Kumasi at the Miklin Hotel. Many music fans and talents trooped to the venue in their numbers to be auditioned.

The Accra auditioning is slated for Saturday October 9th at the NAFTY.

‘Stars of the Future’ is a reality show designed to stir up the passion and interest of music in Ghana, which over the years has dwindled to negligible level. The goal of this show is to educate TV audience and inspire and unearth the music passion hidden in the youth.

The producers feel it is important to acknowledge the talents of the youth and help them nurture it for future use as it is termed ‘stars of the future’.

The show also seeks to reorient the minds of the youth and other sectors of the society by showcasing the values in our rich world of music. This production promises to be an exciting one for both the producers and the contestants, focusing not only on music but on some aspect of our culture.

At the end of the day, 16 carefully selected contestants would be presented to the whole of Ghana and nothing but the best would be expected from them.
