The creme de la creme of Ghanaian hiplife stars converged at the Boomerang Nite Club in Accra last Saturday for the celebration of ?Ten Years of Hiplife.?
Hundreds of fun-loving people turned up for the party, ably put together by Blaq Kapricorn, an events organising and artiste management company in collaboration with Boomerang.
Not everyone could make it into the club, because it was a strictly-by-invitation affair and naturally the venue could not contain all the people who did not want to be left out of the fun and excitement.
Among the list of hiplife stars who thrilled the crowd with their presence and performances were the godfather himself, Reggie Rockstone, rap heavyweight champion Lord Kenya, dancehall stopper Batman, Lazzy of VIP, Kwabena Kwabena and Wutah.
Others were Michael Dwamena, C-zar, Tinny, Kwaw Kese and Mzbel. Radio and TV presenter Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), who happens to be the CEO of Blaq Kapricorn, told Showbiz that his outfit thought it wise to put up such a great party to celebrate hiplife, ?it?s been 10 good years and it?s only in place that we honour our artistes.?
Considering the large turnout, KOD said he would consider the Accra International Conference Centre for future gigs, ?Boom is a great place but we probably will have to consider a place, that will accommodate all the fans,? he said.
He said the climax would be a grand show in August this year. Blazing Gear provided free hiplife T-shirts for patrons.
