VGMA2018: One Corner will win most popular song – Patapaa

Ghanaian musician Patapaa has said that his hit song ‘One Corner’ will win the Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA)’s most popular song of the year 2018.

Patapaa said this in an interview with Prince Benjamin on the Class Drive on Class91.3FM on 22 March 2018.

When asked which award he was looking forward to win at the 2018 VGMA’s, he said: “As you know, you yourself you know what you are talking about, you are talking about the most popular song of the year.”

Patapaa also indicated he calls his fans ‘Patopa’ soldiers because he represents Ghana wherever he goes whether Nigeria, Liberia or the United States of America.

The Swedru-based musician disclosed that he was preparing to release a new song titled ‘Kumchacha’ but emphasised it had nothing to do with the popular Ghanaian pastor Kumchacha.

He also hinted of a collaboration with rapper Flow Kingstone.

Patapaa rose to fame in 2017 when his controversial one corner song became an instant hit.
