Hip hop artiste Desmond Blackmore, popularly known as D-Black, has described the video for the hit single as Vera as the best of his career.
Speaking exclusively to Hitz Entertainment News, the rapper said since he entered the music industry, he has always shot good music videos but his Vera video was his best so far.
He revealed he studied film in school so he comes up with a lot of concepts for his videos. D-Black said, “At the end of the day, when I saw the Vera finally done, I felt like it’s my best work because it is a good song, and the concept was something I have never done before.”
The concept of the video, he said, was quite different from what he did in most of his videos because the Vera video is like a movie which will be appreciated by most Ghanaians.
D-Black advised artistes to reinvent themselves just as he has done, “I feel as artiste you should always do something for the people, doing a song on a hiphop beat and doing a song on an Azonto beat shows you can do something different. A musician should be able to do different things and I think that’s what I did”.
He disclosed that, in his bid to diversify as an artiste, fans should expect something different from him next year.
D-Black’s video, ‘Falling’ which features Nigerian artiste Mo’Cheddah has been nominated for the upcoming Channel O Music Video Awards.
