What happened to Oheneba PK?

Both Highlife and Hiplife Lovers seek answers from the media concerning the whereabouts of the Hiplife Secretary General – Oheneba PK. Most of these fans are the older folks who enjoy Highlife a lot.

After dropping His debut album in 2007 with the Hit songs ” Full Stop, Wonn mma me nka bi feat. Morris Babyface and I Love You,” Fans have been waiting and asking for more of those classic songs from the 2007 GBA Highlife/Hiplife Award Winner - Oheneba PK. 

According to some recent interviews in Ghana, People expressed their feelings about how Hiplife and Highlife has dramatically changed in these recent years. The messages of the song, organization and arrangements, style, etc were the concerns of the Ghanaian people. There were names like Ofori Amponsah, Kojo Antwi, Obrafour, Oheneba PK(The Hiplife Sec. Gen), Kwabena Kwabena, Okyeame Kwame, Daasebre, Batman, Skrewface, Kofi B, K.K.Fosu, Castro, A-Plus, Kweisi Pee, Obour, Kofi Nti, etc mentioned and were given good credit for the messages they send out to the community.

On a phone interview with the Hiplife Secretary General, He admitted that he took a break to complete a project in the United States. Sources reviewed to us that Oheneba PK is working on some serious tracks with the Heavy weights in the music Industry such as; Kofi Nti, and A-Plus. Obrafour(Rap Sofo), Kwabena Kwabena, Screwface, K.K.Fosu, Morris Babyface, Kwasi Appeh, Abena Sarfo and Nana Fremah are a definite to be featured on Oheneba’s upcoming album. Expect the best from this Album. Oheneba PK’ management confirmed it but stated that he hope to work with more of the Heavy weights in the game such as Daddy Lumba, Ofori Amponsah, Batman Samini, Okyeame Kwame, Daasebre Dwamena, Kofi B, Sha Sha Marley, Castro, Lucky Mensah, Dicky D, Anuanom, Kwesoul, etc and some new or upcoming talents such as Newface, Original Marfia, Kicker, JVelly, Paps from KOS, etc to mention a few. He has a song dedicated to God for guiding and protecting him from the plans of the enemy, and also saving him from the deadly motor vehicle accident that he encountered on the 30th of April 2008, which was broadcasted on the news and all over the internet including GBC. Pk stated that he is very happy and lucky to know God, and to Love and serve him. Oheneba Pk is also working on some English hits which would take a huge storm to the international level with some surprise foreign artist such as Paps from KOS, and more. This isn’t a joke but a serious move, as his management stated.

Oheneba also expressed his sympathy to the families of Michael Dwamena, Kwame Owusu Ansah and Paapa Yaw Johnson who recently passed.

The Hiplife Sec General is urging all Ghanaians to come together, get united, and do our best to serve our country Ghana and protect the integrity and Peace we have in Ghana. PK is currently working with some musicians in Ghana to help solve the problem with Piracy in Ghana which is destroying the music industry. Oheneba recently joined Sha Sha Marley in a Peace Concert which was held in the United States to promote Peace awareness. He stated; together WE Unite, and Divided WE Fall. We need to help one another, stand together, and win together. Oheneba couldn’t end the interview with showbiz without mentioning the woman behind his success all this time. He said, God is with him all the time in spirit, and physically a great woman stands behind him. He told showbiz not to reveal her name at this point. This means; Ladies, Oheneba is already taken.
