What?s Up With ?Solid Gold Countdown??

Tue, 11 Jan 2005 Source: ghanamusic.com

I want to draw the attention of Prime Eye and the management of Radio Gold to their Saturday late afternoon entertainment programme dubbed ?Solid Gold Countdown?.

I have been an ardent listener of the programme since its inception when it was co-hosted by Daryl Ambrose Nmah and B.B. Menson. It was among the few chart shows on air and was really spectacular.

Presently, the countdown segment constitute just a meagre percentage of the entire show. The review-preview/chit-chat segment dominates it all. Unlike previously when 20 songs were counted down, it has now been reduced to 10 even though the duration of the programmed has been extended from an hour to two hours.

Some more time should be allotted to the countdown segment. Otherwise the name of the programmed should be changed to say ?Solid Gold Showbiz?, ?Critical Showbiz Analysis? or ?Show business on Gold?. However, Prime Eye and his crew are doing marvelously well. But hey Prime, how about signing on time?
