Kafina Events, management of hiplife genius Tic Tac, supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Diasporan Relations and the Musicians Union Of Ghana (MUSIGA) is organizing a one day music seminar for musicians at the British Council in Accra today December 20, at 11:00am.

This is to, among other objectives, address issues that would help revive the Ghanaian music industry. Dubbed “The Ghana Music Seminar”, it is aimed at empowering the youth and celebrating 50 years of the Ghanaian music industry.

Speakers would include special guests from Def Jam Records and the British Broadcasting Corporation Radio (BBC Radio) in the UK.

These people have been behind the successful careers of artistes like Alicia Keys, Busta Rhymes, Outkast, Usher, Jay Z, Ludacris, Jah Rule, Ashanti, Westlife, R. Kelly and many others.

They are expected to touch on the bare bones of making local hit songs cross over to the international market; something which has been the dream of most local artistes.

The ceremony is expected also to attract the patronage of both highlife and hiplife gurus as well as upcoming talents.

The event is proudly sponsored by tiGO, TN Records, British Council, Metro TV, Adom 106.3 Fm, CITI 97.3 Fm and Vibe 91.9 Fm.

The rest are Daily Guide, Fylla Magazine, Jive, Showbiz, Coca Cola, Coconut Groove Regency Hotel, Ghanamusic.com and Ghanabase.com.
