Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has included Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey for in his squad to face Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Europa Cup quarterfinal game on Thursday.
The Ghanaian did not train with the team on Tuesday as he remained in the gym and only did fitness work whilst his colleagues were on the field.
The initial fear among the Atletico fans was that the Ghanaian might have sustained an injury the previous day in training but his manager has quashed any doubt by including him in his squad to face Sporting Lisbon.
Partey was key in midfield when Atletico won the first leg by two goals to nothing at the Wanda Metropolitano and he could start again on Thursday in Portugal.
