CK Akonnor wins Kenyan Premier League with Gor Mahia

Head Coach CK Akonnor and his Ghanaian backroom staff have helped Gor Mahia to clinch a 22nd Kenyan Premier League with two games to spare.

This was after their perennial rivals and title challengers AFC Leopards, who have played one game more, suffered a 2-1 defeat at APS Bomet on Sunday, May 24 2026 to give to K’Ogalo the advantage.

Gor Mahia, with two games in hand, sit on top of the league table with 68 points, four more than AFC Leopards who have only one game left.
