Accra, Kumasi to explode Sat

African featherweight champion, Mike Kizza of Uganda, arrived in the country yesterday morning in the company of his manger and trainer to defend his title against Ghana?s Joshua Kpakpo Allotey at the Globe Cinema in Accra on Saturday.

The bout will afford Kpakpo a unique opportunity to consign his defeat to compatriot Ben Ankrah in their fight for the national lightweight crown last month.

On the same flight with him was Davis Lusimbo who also defends his ABU super lightweight belt against Benin?s Victor Kpadenou on the same night.

The two arrived with a promise to silence their respective opponents to underline their status as true champions on the continent.

On the same day, controversial Nigerian boxer, Simon Peter McIntosh will relay his true colours to fans in Kumasi when he takes on Ashanti pride, Sarfo Bugri (Tyson) in a challenge for the West Africa lightweight crown.

As if to say he never changes, the rasta-haired boxer has invited his opponent?s father to the ring side to come and save his son from imminent death.

All roads lead to the Globe Cinema in Accra and the Kumasi Stadium for the explosive nights of fistic action.
