UK-based Ghanaian featherweight boxer Isaac 'Royal Storm' Dogboe has recorded yet another victory in a unanimous points decision in a 6 round bout against New Mexico's Jazzma Hogue adding to his unbeatable 7-0-0 record.
The bout which went down on April 11, 2015 in Arizona USA was promoted by Maritza Miranda of Bout Makers Promotions in Phoenix, Arizona and was unexpected as the Royal Storm had only a two-day's notice of which his father and trainer accepted.
This is just two weeks after knocking out another seasoned tough Mexican fighter Jonathan Alcantara in round 3 of their scheduled 6 round bout.
The champ had to lose 15 pounds within the two days so he can fight. He said: "we took the fight because we wanted everyone to understand that we're warriors and we always stay ready".
The Royal Storm made reference to legendary Ghanaian boxer Azumah Nelson while explaining the reason for accepting the fight after a short notice. "When Azumah Nelson fought Salvador Sanchez, he took the fight in a 2 weeks notice for a championship fight, my dad has this mindset that a boxer has to always be ready because you'll never know when next you'll get another opportunity. My dad is one of the best Boxing Scientist when it comes to weight loss and weight gain, so I Knew I was going to be Okay and well hydrated for the fight".
Isaac Dogboe dedicated his victory to the memory of his grandfather E.M.C Dogboe of the Klevi Clan of Anglo (Anyarko) who sadly passed on April 6th 2015.
"I thank the family back home, The Wovenu Family who are always behind me and support me in Prayers ever since I started boxing from my Amateur days till now," he said.
