Peterborough, UK -- THERE was a big shock at Friday's night's professional boxing show at the Holiday Inn as promising Peterborough super-middleweight Cello Renda suffered a rare defeat. Renda was stopped inside two rounds by hard-hitting Ayittey Powers from Ghana to severely dent hopes of a title shot.
There were mixed fortunes for Peterborough cousins Neil McQuade and Tony McQuade in the other two bouts.
Neil lost on points to Northampton's Gavin Deacon 59-55, but Tony picked up his first win as professional after beating Carl Griffiths from London 58-56 in a terrifc all-action scrap.
