Bombers, Greater Accra to rumble again

THE national amateur boxing team, Black Bombers, meet a select team of boxers from the Greater Accra Region in another trial encounter at the Accra Stadium tomorrow.

It will be the third meeting between the two teams in a month. The event forms part of preparations by the Bombers towards their participation in the S. C. S. A. Zone III boxing championship scheduled for Niamey, Niger, this month.

The national team has won the two previous encounters and another victory tomorrow will confirm their superiority over the Greater Accra side. Expected to feature for the Bombers in tomorrow's event are team captain Lartei Lartey, young sensation and boy wonder Joseph Martey, Godwin Cudjoe, Thomas Awimbono, David Jiampana, Paa Kwasi Ankrah, Thomas Ayittey and Fuseini Assandoh.
