Ghana’s Charles Adamu is set to stage a comeback to the ring after a long absence.
The veteran boxer, popularly known as “The Crusader”, would fight Erik Nazaryan from Belgium on Saturday, June 17, in a ten-round Light Heavyweight contest in Belgium.
Adamu, 39, who has a record of 28 wins and nine losses, without a draw, is keen on bringing back his career on the right path, after a long absence.
Adamu, one of the promising boxers the nation produced during the Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games, where he won a bronze medal in 1998, as well as a member of Team Ghana during Sydney Olympic Games in 2000, has been seeking an opportunity to revive his career and this fight presents him with a perfect platform to realize that.
Nazaryan, 37, also comes into the fight with a record 21 victories and 17 losses without a draw and seems to a credible opponent for the Ghanaian.
