Accra, Aug. 12, GNA - The Greater Accra Amateur Boxing Association (GAABA) will organize a special individual championship from Thursday, August 21 to Saturday, August 23 at the Prisons Canteen, Cantonment. The three-day event forms part of the sporting activities line up by the Association to celebrate this year's Homowo festival, which comes off next week.
Gideon Quartey, Acting Chairman of GAABA told GNA Sports on Tuesday that the special championship is part of efforts lined up by the Association towards keeping the boxers in better shape for future assignments.
He added that registration is opened to the Gyms registered with the regional body for the Amateur Boxing League. There will be attractive prizes for participating boxers and gyms
