The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) on Tuesday outlined eleven mandatory fights to be staged by the end of December this year.
A release issued in Accra and signed by Mr. Justus Agbeko, General Secretary of the GBA, said the fights were scheduled at a meeting of the GBA last Tuesday, Sept 17 .
According to Mr. Agbeko, Braimah Kamoko, popularly known as "Bukom Banku" has been mandated to defend his title against Daniel Sackey for the Super Middleweight championship while James Toney defends his Middleweight title against Anyetei Sowah.
In the Super Welterweight division, Ayittey Powers, the champion, is to fight George Amuzu with Joshua Okine taking on Agoe Ashong in a Welterweight Championship.
Laatekwei Hammond and Stephen Okine are to meet in a Super Lightweight Championship while Ben Ankrah faces Joseph Sarkodie in the Lightweight championship.
Raymond Narh, National Super Featherweight Champion would have a first defence of his title against Eric Odumase while Moubi Armstrong, the National Feather weight champion, defends his title against Osmanu Akaba.
Malik Jabir the national Super Batamweight champion would have to stand by for Abdul Amidu and Imoro Bozo to fight in an elimination bout for the winner to meet him with Anyetei Laryea and Sowah Thompson vying for the Batamweight title.
Asamoah Wilson and Sumaila Badu would battle for the Super Flyweight Championship as Galley Cudjoe awaits the winner.
The General Secretary, has therefore urged all promoters to take note of the mandatory defence fights
