Peter Zwenne, President of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has cautioned members of the various committees serving under the new Executive to be responsible as the task they are about to engage is onerous and expects them to work very hard to promote boxing in Ghana.

Speaking at the swearing in of the 12 GBA Committees and Commissions, he said the aim of his administration is to take Ghana Boxing to a higher level in all aspects of the sport and those who have been given positions must support the cause to yield fruitful results in terms of producing new real world champions and the construction of facilities to develop the game.

He noted that only one person cannot do the work and the experience of the knowledgeable people would be tapped to make the nation the envy of the world again.

Lawyer Peter Zwennes congratulated the members of the Committees after they had sworn the oath of office under the leadership of Mr. Erasmus Adorkor, Chief Sports Development Officer, who deputized for Madam Alice Attipoe, the Acting Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA).

Erasmus Adorkor said he was delighted for the Committees to be set up at the right time, as it had never happened in so many years. He was happy that the present executives want to do things right and on time.

He also adviced the new Committee members to be responsible and be up to the task ahead to push the GBA forward, and to better places.
