Galley Kudjo, leading contender to the national super flyweight title has said he would whip Badu Sumaila, the champion into submission when they meet in a title fight on December 6.

Speaking to the GNA Sports on Wednesday the challenger said he has started preparations for the fight and nothing would stop him from becoming a national champion before the end of the year.

The southpaw boxer said Badu prolonged his miseries by defending his title against Asamoah Wilson in a back-to-back fight last Saturday and promised to pay him back in the ring for his snobbishness.

"I wanted to fight Badu but he dodged me and gave Asamoah another fight because he knew he would win that one. Now there is no hiding place for him because he has to meet me in a mandatory defence on December 6 and I cannot let this opportunity slip through my hands."

Galley said his injured wrist, which was responsible for his loss against Asamoah has healed completely and he is working on his speed and stamina in anticipation of a tough fight.

Speaking on the proposed fight, Emmanuel Teiko Tagoe head coach of the Black Panthers Boxing Club, trainers of Galley, said they would not leave any stone unturned in their bid to wrestle the crown from Badu.

The coach who is known in boxing circles as 'Akisseh' said Galley's southpaw stance and his big left punch would be his trump cards against Badu.

The coach said he has studied the style of the champion very well and has found antidotes, with which he would arm Galley to beat him.

"We believe in hard work and we are ready to sweat it out, make sacrifices and become a champion," adding that Galley is a disciplined boxer who loves training and takes instructions so it would not be difficult to put him in peak form before the fight.
