'I caught my girlfriend in bed with another guy'

Former IBF Welterweight World Champion, Joshua ‘Hitter’ Clottey has revealed that he once caught his girlfriend in bed with another guy a week to his final eliminator bout against Jose Luis Cruz in the US in 2008.

According to reports by Happyghana.com, the incident gave him a torrid time as he was unable to sleep throughout the period before the bout which he won anyway.

"I have an experience in relation to this Afriyie Acquah saga. I remember while in the US preparing for my final IBF eliminator before the title fight with Zab Judah, I had the same problem."

He added: "I caught my girlfriend doing a stupid thing. I followed her secretly in the cold alone with a hood on my head until I caught her and I was to fight the following week. Though I was troubled, I went into the bout and won. I don’t think that because I saw my girlfriend with another guy, I shouldn’t eat or train. The only thing I wasn’t able to do was to sleep. But there was no way I could abandon my job because of what happened."
