Former national featherweight boxing champion, Eric Odumase, says he is more than ready to take on Raymond Narh for his national super featherweight title as has been mandated by the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA).

According to Odumase, his fans in Kumasi are eager to see another national title belt in the Garden City, after he and compatriot Kofi Jantuah had been made to relinguish their titles.

This has, therefore, juiced up the boxing appetite in Kumasi following the GBA?s order for him and Narh to fight for the national super featherweight title.

Jantuah, the former national welterweight champion, is now campaigning in the United States of America.

Speaking to the Graphic last Wednesday, Odumase, who was stripped of his featherweight title following his failure to make the weight in his last title defence against Ben Odametey, requested any interested promoter to stage the fight.

He explained that having moved up to the super featherweight division, he sees the GBA?s order as an opportunity to wrest Narh's belt.

The Kumasi-based pugilist who is now fighting out of the Saga Boxing Club, Mamprobi, Accra, last fought Ben Odametey to a standstill in a title defence which was annulled owing to Odumase's failure to make the weight.

The GBA later stripped Odumase of the featherweight title and later ordered Raymond Narh to make a mandatory defence against him.
