Braimah “Bukom Banku” Kamoko has reversed his decision to boycott his fight against Ayittey Powers on December 26.

The undefeated boxer had pulled out of the Boxing Day bout due to claims he was was ‘spiritually’ sick.

His decision instigated a disciplinary process from Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) which could have seen the controversial boxer handed a severe punishment including the revocation of his boxing license.

Sponsors of the Boxing Day bout slated for the Baba Yara Stadium, Joy Dadi Bitters, were also fretting over Banku’s decision especially with the huge sum of money already invested into promoting the fight.

These uncertainties were however put to bet by the Bukom-based fighter who says he will honour the fight even though he is still unwell.

“Joy Dadi people are my fathers so I am begging them I will fight.

“I am sick but when I no fight, the thing will spoil.

“So 26 December, Bukom Banku and Ayittey Powers we will fight.

“I want to tell Ghanaians that Bukom Banku I will fight, I will fight.” He declared.

Banku’s declaration now puts to bed all uncertainties surrounding the December 26 bout.

Sponsors, Joy Dadi Bitters will be given away a state of the art Range Rover as the prize for the winner of the fight.
