The fight is just one of several bouts put together by Sikaprix Boxing Promotions Syndicate to bring the sport to the environs of the Garden City.
It will be the first time in several years that Ghana's second major city will host a big boxing carnival, which is expected to whip interest in the sport among the present generation.
The Tyson-McIntosh fight will showcase the character of a foreigner who has earned notoriety in Ghanaian rings by reason of his controversial gimmicks inside and outside the rings and also reputations as a braggart against an ambitious young man who has been waiting for an opportunity to burst onto the landscape of stardom.
While Tyson will attempt to emulate compatriots like former WBA welterweight champion, Ike Quartey, who once fought Quartey in his prime and the Lighting Flash, Joshua Kpakpo Allotey, both of whom triumphed over the rasta-haired boxer amid some funny antics displayed by the Nigerian, McIntosh may be hoping to end the dominance by Ghanaian boxers.
McIntosh recalls with sharp pains the manner Quartey, in particular, dismantled him in a controversial no-contest bout.
And an attempt to sacrifice the younger Kpakpo Allotey proved no better either.
It will be interesting to see how he fares against the hard-punching Sarfo Tyson, who is also nursing a fifth round TKO loss he suffered to Benin's Ange Adjaho last December.
