Accra, May 14, GNA - Aloi Moyoyo, the national cruiserweight boxing champion will meet Danny Williams, British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion in a non title fight in June.

The fight, which will travel over 10 rounds will be beamed live by Sky Sports Television and it will be Moyoyo's first in a British ring. Speaking to the GNA Sports from London on Friday, the Ghanaian knockout specialist said arrangements for the fight were at the concluding stages and barring any unforeseen circumstances it would come up before the end of June.

Moyoyo said the contracts for the fight had been signed and all what was left was the determination of the date and venue.

He said he would use the fight against Williams to announce his availability to the big matchmakers in Europe and America who could help shape his career by giving him regular fights against worthy opponents. The boxer said though the training facilities in London were better than what was available in Ghana, it was more difficult to get fights in London because most of the prospective opponents were scared of unknown African champions and would not accept to fight them.

"They want to fight nobodies so when they realise that you have a frightening record, you are undefeated and you win all your fights or most of them by knockout, they don't want to have anything to do with you, that is why I have not fought since I arrived in London over two month ago."

On the boast of Brimah Kamoko that he would "stop Moyoyo anytime, anywhere," the London based cruiserweight fighter said he and Brimah did not belong to the same class and he would therefore not waste his time on such a fight because it would only reduce his value.

"Brimah needs to have many more fights in order to establish himself as a worthy opponent that deserves my attention, but so long as he remains an unknown local boxer, I shall not accept his challenge. "I want to move forward and not backwards," Moyoyo concluded.
