NSC Set For Inter-Regional Boxing Championships

Starting June 11 to 16, 2008, the National Sports Council (NSC) will organise its annual inter-regional Boxing Championships at the Sunyani Coronation sporting ground.

NSC's deputy public relations officer, Isaac Franklin, told the media that the championships which form part of the series of talent-hunting sports programmes being executed by the Council, will feature boxers at the various weight categories.

Highlights of the event will be exhibition bouts by female and juvenile boxers from the Greater Accra Region.

A token rate of GH¢1.00 will be charged.
