Okine impressive in win

CHESTER, WV (Inside Boxing, August 8, 2002) - Chester W. Va.'s Convention Center and promoter Pat Nelson hosted a Pro-Am card featuring exciting local fighters and up and coming pros. Many of the bouts were action packed and fast paced. TKO's, standing eights and dominating performances had the crowd on its feet. It was a great night of showcasing new talent.

In heavyweight action, Abraham "The African Assassin" Okine 3-0 with 2 KO's from Ghana, West Africa faced journeyman Leroy Loscar 3-6 with 2 KO's from Parkersburg, WV in a 4 round bout. From the beginning bell, one could sense this was a mismatch. Okine landed ferocious body shots and a good left jab in the first round. Loscar fought back bravely and showed the chin. In the second round, Okine overwhelmed Loscar with wild combinations to the head and scored a knockdown. The second knockdown placed Loscar flat on his pants. The end came at 2:53 of the second as Abraham scored a third knockdown and TKO victory.
