Ghana’s Richard Commey (25-2, 22 KO’s) is preparing feverishly in the United States for his upcoming fight.
The Ghanaian is being trained by experienced trainer Andre Rozier who currently guided Sadam Ali to defeat Miguel Cotto two weeks ago.
Commey was billed to fight Russia’s Roman Andreev last Saturday for the IBF world lightweight eliminator but the fight was called off after Andreev’s promoter Vlad Hrunov failed to put into escrow the $55,000 he had contractually agreed to pay DiBella as a provision of services for Commey’s participation in the bout by the Nov. 10 deadline they agreed to, so DiBella terminated (Commey’s promoter) the agreement after Hrunov failed to respond to inquiries as to where the money was.
Despite the cancellation of the fight, the Ghanaian is leaving no stone unturned as he is preparing hard for his next opponent which is set to be announced soon.
