Samuel Amoako signs 3-year deal with new Manager

Ghanaian boxer, Samuel Amoako has began a new phase of his professional career after sealing a 3-year management contract with Accra based businessman, Nicholas Lartey.

Amoako, famously nicknamed Bruno previously held both the Ghana and WBO Africa Lightweight titles and also fought for the Commonwealth title, only losing a decision to Lee McAllister in Glasgow, Scotland back in January 2010.

The boxer who also previously fought in both Ireland and South Africa is on a 13-fight winning run dating back to March 2011, and is confident the coming on board of his new manager can propel him back into the world ratings and earn him the championship fights he still craves.

"It's nice, very very exciting because to get a manager is not easy so I will also do my best to make him happy. I hope to win more fights and more titles to pay him for the confidence shown in me," Amoako told Allsports.com.gh shortly after signing the deal on Saturday.

Already Allsports.com.gh sources indicate that Alex Ntiamoah's Box Office Sports Promotions have promised to get Amoako a WBA Pan Africa or WBO Africa title shot by 6th March next year should he maintain his winning ways.

The new manager who is investing in boxing for the first time, revealed his love for the sport and belief that the boxer can rise to the very top with the right backing.

"I love boxing, I have so much interest in it and I'm delighted that today I'm finally making a full time commitment with this boxer. I will give my all to take him to the biggest heights in his career and for sure we are winning the world title in two to three years," Mr. Lartey said.

Lastly , Bruno had a message to his supporters.

"My fans should keep on praying for me. They should expect more from me than previously and I'll win the world title for us all," Amoako stated full of poise.
