Sarfo Tyson, Kumasi’s renowned boxer has promised fans of the sport in the Garden City to throng the Baba Yara Stadium on April 29 for the ‘Rumble in Oseikrom’ boxing extravaganza because he will win the vacant WBO Africa Interim Lightweight title for them.

Knock-out specialist Sarfo Tyson has told All Sports that knocking out Nigerian opponent Jumbo Ola is already a done deal since he sees this fight as just a step on his journey to become a world champion.

He’s therefore calling on Kumasi fans to come and cheer not only him, but other boxers as well as the bid to make Oseikrom a regular feature on the Ghanaian boxing calendar. There will be a total of seven bouts including three with a WBO Africa Interim title at stake, Pride of Kumasi Kojo Issah among the top shots.

“I want to appeal to the fans to come in their numbers because their presence is what will help boxing promotion to get established in Kumasi. We have to show that boxing in Ghana is not just about Accra. They should come early to see me because my fight will not last long, I will knock him out. This is the first time ever so we are winning the belts for Otumfuo,” Sarfo said.

Tyson, who once challenged Joshua Clottey but did not get the fight against the former world champion, says he is ready to take on the big boys of world boxing. That’s why he wants nothing than a convincing win on April 29 to send out a message to the rest of the world.

“This is just a warm-up fight for me. I am ready to fight Mayweather and Pacquiao because I want to be world champion. I want to improve to at least top 15 in world rankings so this is a knockout win coming up. Now even if Floyd Mayweather comes, I will knock him out,” stated Mayweather look-alike Sarfo Tyson.
