The price listing of Floyd Mayweather’s visit to Ghana is one that will definitely send heads turning, eyes rolling and tongues wagging in what may probably be the highest fees seen in a visit by any personality to Ghana.
After announcing his visit to his ‘motherland’ Ghana, boxing legend Floyd Mayweather seems to be making waves even before his imminent arrival in the country.
The event which is being organised by Baby Jet promotions is set to attract a host of important personalities including former boxers, chiefs and government officials who are all likely to grace the occasion.
A price listing of the two day event has been released by the organisers who have allocated various prices which range between cedis and dollars for interested participants who would like to be part of the historic visit of Floyd Mayweather Jnr to Ghana.
One would have to pay as high as 9,000 dollars to sit on a 10-member VVIP dinner table and 10,000 dollars for the club night.
However the question most people may be asking is why these prices and who are the target audience at the two-day event.
Floyd Mayweather has a huge following in Ghana and that was evident during his fight with Manny Pacquiao in October 2015 which had all bars and public places filled to the brim.
The question is don’t these people also deserve to see their hero? According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Baby Jet Promotions, Samuel Anim Addo, the arrival of the legendary boxer would have a positive impact on the nation’s brand.
