GBA President Peter Zweenes and Emmanuel Tagoe
Reigning IBO lightweight champion, Emmanuel Tagoe, has taken a strong swipe at Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) President Peter Zwennes.
According to Tagoe, Zwennes don’t have the right to question referee Roger Barnor in waving off the fight in his favour against Fernando Saucedo in round 10 last Saturday at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
“I’m highly disappointed in GBA President Peter Zwennes, though he is the President but he doesn’t knows the rules in boxing,” Tagoe told Hot FM.
“Why should he [Peter Zwennes] questioned the referee’s decision in stopping the bout?, Saucedo was indiscipline throughout the rounds, so the referee was right to stop the fight.”
Tagoe added, “I want Peter Zwennes to come out to tell Ghanaians why he questioned referee Roger Barnor, I’m disappointed in him.”
