1st Made in Ghana exhibition in Nigeria launched in Accra

The first ever Made in Ghana Solo Exhibition to be hosted in Nigeria, which is part of efforts aimed at strengthening the bi-lateral trade relations between Ghana and Nigeria as well as introducing Ghanaian manufacturers to the largest market in Africa was declared launched today in Accra by the President of Ghana Manufacturers Association, Nana Owusu Opare.

The press briefing which was held in the boardroom of First Atlantic Bank; the major sponsor of the program, was said to be the first solo exhibition platform that will be strictly for Ghanaians to showcase their products in Nigeria.


According to Nana Opare, “We are so happy to be the sole partaker in this exhibition which I believe is long overdue based on the decades of relationship between Nigeria and Ghana. I strongly believe that this development will not only break barriers hindering free trade between the two great West African countries, it will as well, bring prosperity and further bond our relationship”.


First Made in Ghana Solo Exhibition which is under the theme: “Promoting Ghana’s Export Potentials To West Africa’s Largest Market” was put together by Vintage Visions, Ghana.


The exhibition is expected to take place at the LTV. Ikeja, Lagos.


In an interview with the Chief Executive Officer of Vintage Vision, Otunba Micheal Ajayi, he expressed how great he feels about the solid support behind the project which is in partnership with the Ghanaian and Nigeria High Commissions in Nigeria and Ghana, First Atlantic Bank, Ghana, Association of Ghana Industries, Ghana Investment Promotion Council, the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Exhibition which will hold in Lagos, Nigeria from 2nd of September to 7th.

“We at Vintage Visions believe it is high time we facilitated program like this that will provide Ghanaian manufacturers and exporters an exclusive opportunity to reach out to and explore the vast potentials of the largest single market in Sub Saharan Africa,” he said.


Otunba Ajayi in his presentation to the captains of industries present at the press briefing, however, assure every potential participants a memorable trip as there would be group personal accident insurance for exhibitors, return air ticket(Accra-Lagos-Accra), market visitation/ Lagos city tour, free listing of participating companies in the exhibition brochure, direct sales opportunity to introduce products and services, free airport shuttle including ground transportation to and fro expo venue daily and many more.


Nigeria High Commissioner to Ghana, Ambassador Ademola Oluseyi Onadowokan who was at the press briefing also urged Ghanaian business men to stop being scared of launching in to Nigerian market “Ghanaian manufacturers should take full advantage of the Nigeria huge market, with authentic products which is ready to be consumed by the already available 170million population”.


Gabriel Edgal, Chief Executive Officer of First Atlantic Bank who pledged the full commitment of First Atlantic Bank to the project also commend the laudable project and advised Ghanaian manufacturers and exporters to take part in the first ever exhibition project that will launch them to the biggest market in Africa.
