355mC EU Aid For Ahafo-Ano North Assembly

Tepa (Ash), June 23, - The European Union (EU) has granted the Ahafo-Ano North District Assembly 355 million cedis for selected projects for this year. This was announced by Alhaji M. B. Al-Hassan, the Ahafo-Ano District Co-ordinating Director, when he inspected five of the projects at Tepa at the weekend. They include the district assembly junior secondary "A" school under rehabilitation, a six-classroomed block for the Seventh-Day Adventist primary school, a day-care centre and a three-classroomed block for the district assembly JSS "B", all under construction. He said four communities, Odumasi, Bonkrom, Twabidi and Akrofonso will also get classroom blocks soon. The assembly, Alhaji Al-Hassan said, has also provided the Boagya community with a hand-dug well fitted with a pump and has purchased 30 poles for the Dwaaho electrification project. Alhaji Al-Hassan said the assembly has bought a block moulding machine to generate income.
