The third EFG-Made in Ghana Awards (MIGA) takes place on Friday, October 30th, at the Banquet Hall of State House, on the theme, “Nationalism, the key to social and economic development”.
The event, which is an initiative of the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG), is being organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, with support from the Ghana Standards Authority and Ghana Made Magazine.
Twenty-six Ghanaian premium quality products and service organizations would be inducted into the prestigious “Made in Ghana Hall of Fame”, while another five would be selected for awards as Industrialist of the Year ,“Made in Ghana Products and Services of the year” for their exceptional contribution to the development of the private sector in creating economic and social values
The “Made in Ghana Awards” is basically to honour locally made products and Ghanaian and foreign owned service industries which have exhibited excellence in the manufacturing of premium products and service quality over the years.
The key objectives of the awards is a campaign to provide the platform for Ghanaian consumers to patronise locally made products and also encourage local service industries to make significant improvement in service quality, service delivery, and innovation to meet the challenges of international standards.
The consumer assessment criteria for the manufacturing industry selection was based on the basis of five parameters that demonstrate overall product premium quality, labeling, packaging, competitiveness and standard certification, offering a point for difference from competitors.
Over 400 dignitaries including 60 high commissioners, ambassadors, ministers of state, chief executives of departments, agencies and business executives have confirmed their attendance to grace the occasion.
