Accra, Nov.7, GNA - Government on Friday named an eight-member Board of Directors for the Ghana Railway Company under the chairmanship of Mr Joseph Samuel Appiah, a retired Director of the Company.
A statement issued in Accra and signed by Professor Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi, Minister of Ports, Harbours and Railways, named the other members as Mr Emmanuel Opoku, Acting Managing Director of the Company and Mr Ben Owusu-Mensah, Director-General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority.
The others were Mr D.C. Gyima, Managing Director of the National Investment Bank (NIB), Mr S. K. Appah, Deputy Chief Executive of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) and Nana Awulai Agyefi Kwame II, Omanhene of Nsein Traditional Area.
The rest were, Mrs Adwoa Foriwa Prah, an Accra-based Businesswoman and Mr Samuel Kokovena, General Secretary of the Railway Workers Union (RWU).
